Why do you think race should play a role in the treatment and study of disease? ?

Q: I am trying to think and prove that statement why race is important in biomedical research and clinical practice. I have the idea that there is genetic differences in disease among racial and ethnic groups. but anything else besides this?

A: Variations in environment. Like how the Indians reacted to small pox. They had no immunities because they were isolated from it. Africans are also more prone to strokes. Jew to auto immune diseases. It can have to do with a concentration of genetics or the climate in which their race originated. Tropical regions experience more parasites and diseases because of their humid climate.
