A: The Catholic Church will recognize a baptism done by any Protestant church with the exception of the Mormons and the Jehovah's Witnesses, because neither is done in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Catholic Church will recognize marriage from ALL Protestant Churches, and in fact, from ALL religions. However, if one or both partners in the marriage was previously divorced, they will have to go through the annulment process before their current marriage is recognized. Converts will have to be (re)confirmed, and converts may not take part in the Eucharist until they have been confirmed and, if not previously baptized or if from the Mormon or Jehovah's Witness denomination, baptized.
