A: Court hears oral argument. Court conferences the case. Senior justice in majority assigns opinion. Justice assigned writes opinion. Opinion is circulated. Opinion is revised depending on other justices' comments. Opinion is re-circulated. (this goes on until justices in majority sign off on it). Meanwhile, minority opinions are drafted, circulated and finalized. Opinion is released.
