What is a Sports Lawyer?

Q: I have interest in becoming a Sports Lawyer. I have been researching around the internet. Can anyone tell me what they do, how much they make, and what you would you consider. I wanted to become Entertainment Lawyer. So which one is better Entertainment Law or Sports Law. I have interest in either one. I read a lot about Entertainment Law. Not sure how much they make though.

A: They're probably very similar, what with contracts and dealings. I worked with a young man about 15 years ago..he was interning as a law clerk to a Chancery Division judge. He was making about 26K in his internship. He'd passed the NY and NJ bars and couldn't find an offer higher than 27K to start. So go in knowing your first years until you are established will be lean, and take it from there.
