What's the deal with mopeds?
Q: My friend said if they're under 50cc you don't needa license or anything. Is that true?Do you need insurance? Or would it be just like a bike? Also, how fast do you think a 50cc could get up to? Could I actually go on roads? Highways? Legally? Can two people ride one?Oh and what if hypothetically, you could like soup it up with like a turbo and NOS and what not, could you ever get a 50 cc moped to go on a highway? Please. Seriously answer my questions! I'm sick of all the smart ass responses.
A: it may depend on state or local laws, but here in NC you do not have to have a license or insurance to operate a moped. I think most of them top out at about 35-40 mph and they could be hooked up to NOS ( a friend of mine did that with one of those mini-bikes), but i'm not sure that it would be legal to do that and try it on a public highway
